Department of the Lost and Found Souls
Valentina Brostean‘s upcoming solo exhibition, “Department of the Lost and Found Souls,” will take place on June 5th at 7:00 PM at Sala Nusos (Carrer Astúries 83, Barcelona). The exhibition will remain open until June 19th. This exhibition has been supported by L’Independent de Gràcia, Fundació Orfeó Gracienc, and Sala Nusos.
“I seek to capture and unravel the enigmatic nature of metaphysical realms, evoking the profound interconnectedness between the visible and the invisible. This series explores the elusive dimension “in between”, where the conscious and Subconscious converge. Within these empty, suspended realms, strange and dreamlike figures – spirits, animals, and other mysterious beings – drift and wander through surreal landscapes.Together, they create a visual story about fragility and resilience, revealing life’s delicate and perplexing nature. This narrative invites us to reflect on our purpose, our connections with the world around us, and the enduring search for meaning, unfolding a tale of tenderness, perseverance, and constant pursuit of love…”
