B-Murals Unveils 13 New Murals at Nau Bostik

  • The standout pieces among the 13 new works are the big scale interventions by artists Emilio Cerezo and Martí Sawe, who renovated two of Nau Bostik’s main facades.
  • Emilio Cerezo also opened ‘La Rutina del Sueño’ (The Sleep Routine), an immersive installation featuring music by Ilia Mayer, as part of WCUB3, B-Murals’ experimental and ephemeral exhibition series.
  • These interventions were part of the celebration for the 10th Anniversary of Nau Bostik as a key cultural venue in La Sagrera neighborhood and Barcelona.

Nau Bostik in Barcelona is solidifying its position as one of the last vibrant and active strongholds for muralism in the city, thanks to the continuous efforts of B-Murals. On November 15th, this urban art center inaugurated 13 new murals, establishing the venue as a true space of creative resistance in a metropolitan environment where opportunities for painting freely in the streets are increasingly limited.

B-Murals continues to revitalize and transform the former La Bostik factory into a constantly evolving, multi-disciplinary creative laboratory, forging a high-level curatorial direction with a distinct identity.

Artists Emilio Cerezo and Martí SAWE led the most impactful interventions.

Emilio Cerezo renewed the main façade of Nau Bostik, commemorating its 10th anniversary. His mural, which follows the work created by Elian Chali in 2018, delivers an explosion of vibrant colors and abstract harmonies. This piece, the result of a participatory process with residents and local organizations in La Sagrera, emphasizes collective memory and the role of urban art as a tool for social transformation.

Martí SAWE changed the appearance of the Puente del Treball Digne (Dignified Labor Bridge) with ‘Tempesta Creativa’ (Creative Storm). The work initiates a dialogue between the vital force of creativity and the obstacles that smother it—such as bureaucracy or self-imposed pressure—offering an ironic yet vitalistic view of the contemporary artist’s condition.

The New Murals at Nau Bostik’s Backyard

The full roster of new murals is rounded out by eight artists chosen through an open call,  (Andrea Devia Nuño, Bunker, Chylo, Dan Bonssai, Dana Alessi, Laura Merayo, NSN997 and Vantees) along with special guests Werens and Rockaxson, and resident artist Schoko Tanaka. These works complete the installation, collectively demonstrating both the exceptional quality and the broad spectrum of styles and techniques currently employed in urban art.

The backyard walls now feature a wide range of artistic expressions: from the veteran experience of Werensand Chylo to the neo-rural boldness of Laura Merayo; from the paste-ups by Rockaxson and Vantees to the delicate detail of Schoko Tanaka and Dana Alessi; and from the more orthodox graffiti styles of Bunkerand Dan Bonssai to the illustrative scenes brought by NSN997 and Andrea Devia.

Collectively, these murals—created by artists hailing from places as diverse as Argentina, Italy, Sabadell, Zaragoza, Brazil, and Japan—form a creative map that contributes to keeping the artistic pulse of La Bostik more vibrant than ever, always in a state of constant movement and transformation.

‘La Rutina del Sueño’: Emilio Cerezo’s Immersive Exhibition

In parallel with his monumental exterior work, Emilio Cerezo inaugurated the installation exhibition ‘La Rutina del Sueño’ in the B-Murals gallery, within the WCUB3 series.

In this show, the artist expands his pictorial universe into a three-dimensional realm, converting the room into an immersive space where constantly moving forms explore the sensory limits between wakefulness and dream imagery, all enveloped by the hypnotic frequencies of Ilia Mayer.

This exhibition joins an extensive list of projects presented in WCUB3 by artists including Zion Town Kids, Mina Hamada, Kenor, Dunja Janković, and Martí Sawe.

The presentation of the new murals and the exhibition took place during the B-Murals Fest, a day dedicated to turning urban art into a space for meeting, dialogue, and transformation.

The festival began with the presentation of new Murs Oberts (Open Walls), available for any artist wishing to paint freely. Free workshops were offered, introducing various urban art techniques to people of all ages

The event also hosted a meeting between artists, cultural managers, and institutional representatives, serving as a forum to discuss best practices within the urban art sphere. The event was held within the framework of Mondiacult 2025, linking the local debate to global cultural policies.
