Atelier Cora Egger presents WHERE IS THE LOVE?, a new series of paintings by Scott Riley exploring human connection, resilience, and solidarity in a world increasingly marked by conflict and crisis.
At a time when global turmoil dominates the headlines, Riley’s work seeks to address the universal question: Why can’t we all just get along? His latest paintings depict expressions of care, desire, and unity among people, rendered on unconventional surfaces such as salvaged sheetrock and rubble. These re-purposed materials provide a stark contrast between destruction and the enduring human spirit, reinforcing the exhibition’s powerful message of hope and defiance.
About the Artist
Scott Riley, a graduate of the School of Visual Arts, New York, has exhibited his work internationally since the 1980s. His art consistently explores themes of environmental degradation and the human condition. Riley’s distinctive technique involves layering materials to create both visual depth and conceptual richness. In this installation, dozens of small paintings have a cumulative effect that evoke a strong emotional response .
