That’s Where I’m Going. Echoes of What Was and Did Not Return.
Overview
Homesession takes a leap in scale with its new space located at 24 Lafont Street!
It does so alongside 19 artists with the exhibition «That’s Where I’m Going: Echoes of What Was and Did Not Return», a group exhibition that proposes a prospective rereading of Homesession’s trajectory through the reactivation of works produced within the framework of its programmes. Now, these pieces are relocated to the new space, establishing new dialogues from the present.
The exhibition will also include a series of activities and interventions by artists with whom Homesession currently works, which will allow the exhibition to be expanded and activated, as well as generate a space of continuity between the past and present of the project.
Artists: Carolina Cordeiro, Chadine Amghar, Daniel de la Barra, Daniela Ortiz / Xose Quiroga, Delphine Pouillé, Eulàlia Rovira / Adrian Schindler, Fermín Jiménez Landa, Helena Laguna, Joan Pallé, Laura Llaneli, Mai Bach-Ngoc Nguyen, Margarita Pineda, Natalia Domínguez, Pablo del Pozo, Paul Maheke, Rio Paranà, Veronica Valentini.

About
Throughout its 19 years of activity, Homesession has generated a body of practices, situated projects and meeting points with different programmes. The opening of its new space marks a significant moment for the project, opening up new possibilities for work, cooperation and experimentation. At this turning point, the inaugural exhibition aims to activate the Homesession archive in order to embark on this new stage, connecting what was with what is happening and and with what is yet to come.

FrikiFish Note
Homesession has spent almost two decades giving artists space, time and support through residencies, grants, exchanges and exhibitions. This inaugural show carries that history into the new space, reactivating past works as the project begins its next chapter.
