Cosis by Anna Andrzhievskaia
Overview
For Cosis, Anna Andrzhievskaia remakes Tangent Projects in the image of its supermarket neighbour. Shelving, shopping carts and other everyday retail references turn the exhibition space into something between an abandoned shop, a speculative archive and a business waiting to open. The work plays with familiarity, consumption and the curious fact that a late-night supermarket can sometimes feel more accessible than an art space.

FrikiFish Note
There’s something immediately familiar in the idea behind Cosis: borrowing the visual language of the shop next door to make the gallery itself feel slightly strange. A playful premise that seems very at home at Tangent Projects.
