B-Murals Fest 2026 Brings New Art & Activities to Nau Bostik

B-Murals Fest returns to Barcelona’s Nau Bostik for its second edition, with a free program of mural painting, workshops, talks, exhibitions and opportunities to meet the artists. The main festival day takes place on Saturday, 10 October, from 11:00 to 22:00, with mural-making sessions open to visitors from the 7th to 9th of October.

The festival invites people already involved in urban art, along with anyone curious to learn more, to spend time with the artists and projects shaping Barcelona’s scene. Visitors can watch new murals take shape, try different techniques and explore how artists work with public space.

All activities are free.

Watch the new murals take shape

From October 7th – 9th, between 10:00 and 19:00, visitors can follow the creative process behind ten new interventions that will renew the murals at Nau Bostik.

The artists selected through the 2026 open call, curated by B-Murals, are Blue Crab, Olivier Hölzl, Cecilia Astiazarán, Fuzzy Kidzz, Irenx Remón, Yves Gallard and Lionel David. They are joined by invited artists Morcky and Spidertag, as well as Colectivo Monday.

B-murals Fest Barcelona 2026

On Friday, 9 October, from 10:00 to 18:00, Colectivo Monday will lead a participatory paste-up activity in Nau Bostik’s outdoor space, open to everyone.

Friday also marks the launch of B-LAB, with Territorio Contrarrelato, an urban art experimentation laboratory led by Clara Nubiola for artists and professionals. The laboratory runs from 10:00 to 18:00 on 9 October in the B-Murals Residency Space and continues on the morning of 10 October.

Nubiola’s project uses observation, criticism and irony to question familiar accounts of everyday surroundings and explore other ways of mapping them. Participants will practise spontaneous graphic storytelling, recording the street from within it through drawing, ink, marks and words. Friction, contradictions and mistakes become material for a collective work that reinterprets the territory.

all ages workshops from B-Murals Barcelona 2026

An open wall and workshops for all ages

Saturday’s activities begin at 11:00 with the Open Wall on Carrer Ferran Turné, outside Nau Bostik. Anyone can take part in the free painting session throughout the day. B-Murals will provide free emulsion paint to the first participants to arrive.

From 11:00 to 14:00, the outdoor space will host four workshops exploring graffiti and mural-making techniques.

Graffiti with Slow Fire

This open workshop offers a first experience of painting with spray paint. Participants can try different colours, draw a small image or character, or practise lettering while getting to know graffiti’s visual language.

Painting will take place on cardboard boxes and a wall, with small groups taking turns so that everyone has room to work. Gloves and masks will be available for those who want them, according to age.

Contemporary mural painting with Alba Fabre

Over three hours, participants will create a mural together on a wooden panel. Alba Fabre will explain her working process as the piece develops, with space for questions about murals, painting and the practical decisions behind her work.

No previous experience is needed. The workshop is open to anyone who wants to paint and take part in making a shared piece.

A family workshop with Gemma Fontanals

A long wall of silhouettes becomes the guest list for the B-Murals celebration. Participants can decide who else should join: a friend, a celebrity, a cat or themselves.

Each person will paint their chosen guest onto one of the silhouettes, adding to the collective scene.

Sticker-making with Secle

Participants will explore stickers as an urban art technique and design their own. They can create an original version of their name, invent a logo or draw a character, then take their design away as a sticker.

A new POSCA space

POSCA, the marker brand, will introduce a dedicated space for creation and experimentation at this year’s festival.

From 11:00 to 14:00, the outdoor POSCA Space will host:

  • Tote bag customisation with Numi
  • Live painting on skateboard decks by Borneo

B-Talks & Art: books, projects and a place to spend time

Another addition to this edition is B-Talks & Art, a multidisciplinary space in Nau Pilar Vers. It brings together forms of artistic expression that extend beyond the usual settings and formats of street art.

Talks and screenings

12:00–12:45 — Book presentation with Balu
Artist and Fundación MUNAC president Balu will present ¿Qué es el nuevo arte contemporáneo? (“What Is New Contemporary Art?”). This will be the essay’s first presentation in Barcelona.

12:45–13:15 — Virginia Bersabé’s Mural y Memoria
Art historian and critic Elina Norandi will present an interview with artist Virginia Bersabé about her book Mural y Memoria (“Mural and Memory”).

13:30–14:00 — COMMUN: Community Murals Now

Showcases and a pop-up exhibition

Throughout the day, visitors can explore projects connected to B-Murals and the wider urban art scene, including Can Safari, Revorn by Joan Tarragó, and Malicia Walls.

REVORN ART is a Barcelona-born brand that brings art and design into functional objects. Its collections turn the work of established urban artists into art-edition technical towels, made with recycled materials for the beach, sport and everyday active use.

At the Malicia Walls showcase, Jardín Interior presents a selection of Malicia’s work across graffiti, ceramics and painting. Dreamlike characters, organic forms and intense colours connect nature, fantasy and personal experience within her multidisciplinary practice.

Visitors can also see RavaleArt, a pop-up exhibition presented by Street Art Barcelona.

Books, music and the bar

The B-Murals lounge will include a library with a selection of specialist urban art publications available to browse.

DJ sets are listed in the programme from 10:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 20:00. The bar will have support from Lambicus and Fritz-kola.

Lambicus is a Barcelona beer bar and shop specialising in Belgian beer. It works mainly with craft products and offers more than 400 varieties across its Belgian and Catalan beer selection, with the aim of sharing beer culture.

Fritz-kola is an independent soft drinks brand founded in Hamburg in 2002 by two students. Closely connected to independent culture, events and urban life, it produces colas, lemonades and other soft drinks, with attention to sustainability and recyclable glass bottles.

Afternoon activities in the Residency Space

The programme lists an Open Studio in the B-Murals Residency Space throughout Saturday, with two scheduled afternoon sessions.

Territorio Contrarrelato: sharing the results

From 16:30 to 17:00, Clara Nubiola will present the results of Territorio Contrarrelato, the artistic laboratory developed on 9 and 10 October.

The presentation offers a chance to see how the participants’ observations and drawings come together as a collective reading of the surrounding streets.

Sweet Flow: tea and memory with Sylvia Chih-Ya Yang

From 17:15 to 18:00, B-Murals resident artist Sylvia Chih-Ya Yang will lead Sweet Flow, a workshop combining tea, memory and textiles.

The activity begins with sweet Taiwanese winter melon tea. In Taiwanese culture, serving tea is a gesture of welcome, sharing warmth, hospitality and everyday life.

As the tea warms and its aroma fills the space, participants are invited to recall a sweet moment from their lives. Using the textiles provided, they will choose colours and cut shapes to represent that memory. Words can also become part of the piece, carrying traces of a time, a place or a person.

Each participant will assemble a “Sweetness Package” and add it to Sweet Flow, a collective installation that grows throughout the activity. Together, the packages form a shared landscape of flavours, memories and moments.

Advance registration is required: hola@bmurals.com.

Meet the mural artists on a guided tour

From 18:00 to 19:30, a guided tour of Nau Bostik will introduce the new murals, with the artists presenting their interventions.

The tour includes Blue Crab, Olivier Hölzl, Cecilia Astiazarán, Fuzzy Kidzz, Irenx Remón, Yves Gallard and Lionel David, selected through the open call, alongside invited artists Morcky and Spidertag.

Meeting point: B-Murals Residency Space.

WHY YOU MAD? by XPIELLAX

The festival closes with the opening of WHY YOU MAD?, an exhibition by XPIELLAX, at the B-Murals Gallery from 19:30 to 22:00. The opening will include a live performance by the artist.

The exhibition explores anger as a persistent tension in everyday life, connected to anxiety, overload, pressure and discomfort. With direct, quick and decisive lines, XPIELLAX creates faces, symbols and characters whose simple appearance carries strong expression.

Drawing on graffiti, caricature and urban imagery, the work uses gesture, repetition and the contrast of black on white to examine different forms of contemporary unease.

About B-Murals

B-Murals is a Barcelona-based centre specialising in urban art. Its work supports artistic creation through mural interventions, residencies and exhibitions, alongside community projects, education, critical discussion and activities that bring the discipline to a wider public.

The festival opens up these everyday processes, giving visitors an opportunity to meet the artists and organisations involved while considering how art can encourage a critical and attentive relationship with public space.

This year’s festival image was created by Irene Fresh, who has been involved in graffiti since 2004. Her work combines colour, form and figurative imagery to explore identity, transformation and the inner world.

B-Murals Fest is organised by B-Murals Centre d’Art, with support from the Generalitat de Catalunya, ICUB and Montana Colors, in collaboration with Nau Bostik.
