We took a trip out to the forest near La Garriga to visit Spencer Byles’ open-air museum—a hidden world of land art woven right into the trees. Spencer has been living and working here, creating sculptures from natural materials that slowly fade back into the landscape.
In this video, he talks about life as a land artist, what inspires him, and how he works with the forest rather than against it. We spent a relaxed afternoon wandering the woods, talking with Spencer, and crossing paths with others who had discovered his work along the way.
Come along for the walk and get a peek into Spencer’s world among the trees!
