Immediately following the weekend, you can enjoy a decentralized Mercè Festival with numerous outdoor art activities from September 23rd through the 27th. As always, the activities are free but capacity is limited. It is essential to make reservations this year.

Tallers Oberts de Poblenou

One of our favorite cultural activities each year is the Open Studios in the Poblenou district. The events consists of workshops, art installations, talks, exhibitions, presentations, guided tours, murals, live art and music and more. It’s one of the best ways to discover local artists, see their latest work or work-in-progress and interact with them directly.

This year the event includes online as well as face-to-face activities with a limited capacity (some activities need prior reservation).

The artists and spaces to check out are the following:

It gathers a general programme of exhibitions in art galleries and a parallel programme of guided visits by the gallerists, artists and curators, performances, talks, presentations and other special activities around contemporary and avant-garde art. From 17th to 20th September 2020 it will celebrate its sixth edition.

Barcelona Gallery Weekend reaches different types of audience:

The Public Programme is aimed at all citizens of Barcelona and its surroundings. Art lovers who want to discover the city’s artistic offer can visit all the exhibitions, attend the openings, special activities and presentations that take place during the four days.

Moreover, the professional programme features social events and meetings to find information and exchange points of view with gallery owners and the event collaborators.

Artévete Programme is designed for all those who are considering to start acquiring artworks. With the aim of promoting a closer relationship with the art market, Artévete offers an agenda of talks with buyers and other agents in the sector, guided tours to collections and social events during BGW2020.
