B-MURALS Residencies 2027 — Open Call for Urban Art & Public Space Projects
Overview
B-MURALS opens its 2027 residency program for 6 to 8 artists working with urban art, visual arts, artistic research, and projects connected to public space. Selected artists will develop a project at B-MURALS in Barcelona during one of four residency periods in 2027, with access to workspace, accommodation, curatorial follow-up, communication support, an open studio/public presentation, and a two-week exhibition of the work produced during the residency.
B-MURALS is looking for artists whose work engages with territory, the urban environment, and public space. The call is mainly aimed at visual artists, but is also open to multidisciplinary artists whose practice can enter into dialogue with public space.
The selected residents will develop an artistic project at B-MURALS during 2027, with access to a shared studio space, accommodation at Residencia ONIX, support from the B-MURALS team, use of selected outdoor areas at Nau Bostik, communication support, and a final public presentation or open studio. The program is especially relevant for artists working with mural practice, urban art, artistic research, interdisciplinary processes, and site-responsive work.

About
B-MURALS is an urban art centre based in Barcelona, located at Nau Bostik, a former industrial complex turned community cultural space in the Sagrera neighborhood. Its work combines support for artistic creation — through mural interventions, residencies, and exhibitions — with community, education, reflection, and public outreach around urban art. The project is driven by Difusor, an organization that has worked for more than a decade to promote artistic action in the urban environment.

FrikiFish Note
This is a strong one for artists whose work belongs in dialogue with the city — walls, streets, territory, public space, and the communities around them. B-MURALS offers more than a studio: it gives the project a context, a public-facing moment, and a strong connection to Barcelona’s urban art ecosystem.
