30th International Drap-Art Festival

Overview

Drap-Art presents a new edition of the festival with a month of exhibitions, cultural actions and free activities in public spaces, galleries and unique buildings in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter. The festival brings together local and international artists who, through their work, transform discarded materials and objects into new forms of expression, critical reflection and environmental awareness.

In this 30th edition, Drap-Art celebrates three decades of promoting sustainable art and creative reuse as tools for social transformation. The festival highlights the relationship between art, activism, memory and sustainability, inviting audiences to rethink the cultural and human values needed to move towards a more responsible future.

About

We are an association of artists, cultural managers, and creative individuals from various disciplines who have created Drap-Art with the aim of making visible, through art, the ecological disasters caused by our current consumer society and proposing alternative, more sustainable lifestyles.Drap-Art was founded in 1995 in Barcelona as a platform for artists who reclaim the concept of objet trouvé, placing it within a reflection on their environment and its challenges.

Hello - Amelia here, founder of FrikiFish. I have been attending the Drap Art Festival, markets and events for many, many years. I can't say enough good things about the organization and the events themselves. This year I was selected as one of the participating artists, so I look forward to seeing you all there!
