Lo Oculto del Objeto, Exhibition by Francisco Denegri
May 15 - July 9
La Plataforma premieres "The Hidden of the Object", by Francisco Denegri, the new exhibition that opened on May 15 as part of the ninth Poblenou Open Day.
The Chilean artist studied Fine Arts and specialized in painting at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Santiago de Chile (Chile, 1997). The main theme of his work is the pictorial discipline, his appreciation and perception of it, and the development of the classical genres of still life and portraiture.
In general, his works represent form as form, as materiality, texture, atmosphere and in what way they are associated with each other, a vision close to our experience with the object and portrait as a work of art. The strength of this idea resides in the atmospheres that the artist captures in all of his pieces, and that is precisely the “hidden part of the object”.
When working with the objects, whether or not they are linked to the portrait, they put aside their material and human function, becoming "objects" of contemplation, due to their aesthetics, their shape, and their translation as an image and as a work of art.
‘Lo Oculto del Objecto‘ will be at La Plataforma until July 9.
